What happened at Café Sperl
In Before Sunrise, Jesse and Céline sit in a café booth and play a game: each pretends to phone a friend and describes the day they’re having. It’s one of the film’s most intimate scenes.
Café Sperl opened in 1880 and still has its original interior, with billiard tables, marble tables and newspapers on wooden holders.
