What happened at Zentralfriedhof
The film opens with Harry Lime’s funeral here. It ends on a cemetery avenue: Anna walks toward the camera, past a waiting Holly, and never looks at him.
Opened in 1874, the cemetery is one of the largest in Europe, with the graves of Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms and Johann Strauss.
