The scene
Ghostbusters opens with a librarian spooked in the basement stacks. Peter, Ray and Egon then take the grand steps before their first encounter.
In Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Holly and Paul’s day of doing things they’ve never done brings them here, a very Holly place to go.
The Stephen A. Schwarzman Building opened in 1911. Its stone lions are called Patience and Fortitude.
The building is open to everyone, and the Rose Main Reading Room is one of the city’s great interiors.
Stand at the bottom of the steps beside Patience, the south lion, and shoot up toward the entrance.
